Dip tubes are the slim plastic tubes that carry liquid from inside aerosol containers and other dispensing packages to the valve or pump. Since they need to fit these dispensing systems correctly, their diameter and cross-section need to remain consistent along the full length. To maintain this consistency, our aerosol dip tube extrusion lines preheat the polymer and plasticize it with a rotating screw before extruding it at a steady pressure through a die selected for the required tube size and shape. After forming, the tubing is cooled under controlled conditions, pulled forward at a constant speed, and wound into coils for continuous production.

Features
- The screw and die-head flow channels have a mirror-polished and degreased surface, which keeps oil and residue from dripping onto the tubing during extrusion.
- The motor connects directly to the extruder, so power is delivered smoothly and efficiently without belts or chains. Besides preventing lubricant splashes, the direct-drive setup keeps the tubing consistent in size and appearance at high production speeds, which lowers the reject rate.
- The precision die controls the tubing as it takes shape, keeping the diameter round and the wall thickness even. The finished dip tube then fits the pump head securely and forms a seal that prevents liquid from leaking.
- After the dip tubes leave the extrusion die they go into a vacuum sizing and cooling section which cools the finished tubes rapidly and uniformly. Since the cooling is controlled bending and deformation are avoided and so the roundness and wall thickness stay stable even during long production runs.
- Inside the extruder, a screw made from high-quality alloy steel with a nitrided surface is paired with a hardened-gear reducer. Both are wear and corrosion resistant, and work smoothly together even at high extrusion speeds, so the pressure remains stable and variations in the tube wall thickness stay minimal.
- Different dip tube diameters can be manufactured on the same extrusion line, which makes it easier to change product sizes and handle orders that include several packaging tube specifications.
- PP, PE, PS, ABS, and PC can be processed to meet the different performance requirements of personal care, household, and aerosol packaging products.
