Key Capabilities
- PEEK pellets can be extruded into high-temperature tubing and rods for medical devices. Besides standard PEEK tubing, the extrusion line can be configured for specialized tube designs, including heat-shrink and radiopaque tubing.
- The screw, barrel, and die are made from Hastelloy C276 to withstand the high processing temperatures required for PEEK extrusion.
- Several independently controlled heating zones bring the PEEK to the correct processing temperature gradually. Closed-loop control helps the material plasticize evenly and keeps the finished dimensions consistent.
- Standard PEEK tubing can be produced with an outer-diameter tolerance of ±0.01 mm.
